Mechanimix HWM-B
Mixing with Low Shear Force in a Wide Viscosity Range
Mechanimix HWM-B
Mechanimix HWM-B is specially designed for applications where the axial flow pattern is decisive but local turbulence is not allowed. In particular, the characteristics of the emulsion are adversely affected by local shear forces when it contains delicate, finely dispersed droplets or particles. The HWM-B’s power input has a large surface area spread across four blades. In addition to effective axial pumping, this provides a larger radial component, creating good flow across the internal cooling surfaces.
Additionally, these tube bundles can also be designed as baffles. Therefore, this impeller meets complex requirements such as suspension, homogenization, mass and heat transfer particularly well. HWM-B can also be used in hydrometallurgy to distribute gas in large vessels. Thanks to its large wings, high circulation rates and short mixing times are achieved even during gassing.
